Our Story

A Global Culinary Journey

My lifelong culinary journey started at a very young age in the horn of Africa. My family owned a banana plantation in Somalia in the 1960s, and was involved in the thriving Italian community that existed there at the time. As a young boy, I saw my family entertain influential dignitary and royalty from around the world who came to visit our plantation.

When we went back to Italy in the 1970s, my family continued to cater to the needs of others. I followed in the tradition started by my parents by entering into the Institute of Hotel and Restaurant Industry of Calabria Italy, where I received my formal hospitality and culinary training.

Upon graduation, I embarked on a global culinary journey throughout Europe and the United States, collecting recipes, techniques and stories that I infuse into my food today. In the past 20 years, I’ve worked in world-class hotels and resorts, as well as fine dining restaurants, where I had the opportunity to work side by side with grand maîtres, renowned chefs, and extraordinary barmen. I have also owned by own restaurants in Italy and the United States.

Today, my passion is taking what I’ve learned and experienced in my lifetime of culinary exploration to create exceptional, exciting, and delicious food perfect for any celebration. While my heart is in my native Italy and European cuisine, Aroma Culinary Catering loves to take culinary journeys around the world with our clients, preparing everything from sushi to churros with a chipotle chocolate dipping sauce.
